Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead and optimize the freight operations team. You will supervise daily workflows, coach staff, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery across shifts.

The role requires hands-on leadership, knowledge of LTL and DOT rules, and the ability to implement efficient procedures in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse/distribution/supply chain or similar environment.
• Knowledge of LTL industry, hazmat regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Willingness to work days, evenings, nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic procedures to meet department needs.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and address workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Coach employees on safety rules and quality requirements and conduct evaluations.
