Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics seeks an Operational Account Manager, Freight Operations in Torrance, CA to strengthen customer relationships and drive growth in the Road US division. You will manage house accounts, seek new opportunities, and coordinate with carriers to optimize service levels and pricing.

The role emphasizes close collaboration with Carrier Sales, timely communication, and accurate shipment tracking while leveraging TMS tools and data to support day-to-day brokerage

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
College degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
3 years’ experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, or related field required, 5+ years preferred.
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains customer relationships via phone, email, and in person.
Negotiates rates and services with transportation carriers and providers.
Identifies growth opportunities within house accounts and potential new leads.
Provides pricing guidelines and directs Carrier Sales team.
Monitors shipment progress and communicates status to customers.
