Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking an Operational Account Manager, Freight Operations in South San Francisco, CA to manage freight brokerage operations within the Road US team. You will develop customer relationships, negotiate rates with carriers, and oversee pricing and service options while driving growth for branch house accounts.

The role requires 3 years in logistics or related field (5+ preferred) and experience with transportation management systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, or related field required, 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains customer relationships through phone, email, and in person interactions.
• Negotiate with carriers to obtain rates and services.
• Identify growth opportunities within the branch’s house accounts.
• Research and establish new customer leads and opportunities.
• Assess customer requests to provide best service options and pricing.
