Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Fraud Operations Manager to lead multiple fraud operations teams and drive scalable efficiency. You will develop leaders, set strategy, and own performance across disputes and compliance work while fostering a high-performance culture.

You will partner with recruiting, manage metrics, and translate business goals into team objectives. The role emphasizes risk management, cross-functional alignment, and AI-enabled productivity in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of disputes and fraud risk prevention in FinTech/tech industry.
• 5+ years in fraud management or related people management roles.
• Experience setting strategy and delivering large-scale operational change.
• Strong strategic planning and risk management skills.
• Executive communication and stakeholder alignment experience.
• Experience leading teams through major change and ambiguity.
• Familiarity with AI-driven initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Lean Six Sigma or data-driven improvement experience.
• Scripting/ querying knowledge is a plus (Python/SQL).

• Escalate complex merchant/user issues and manage incident resolution.
• Research and resolve risk events from process breakdowns.
