Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Fraud Operations Manager to lead multiple fraud operations teams and develop a high‑performing culture. You will coach a mix of people leaders and ICs, drive productivity, quality, and customer outcomes, and partner with recruiting to attract top talent.

The role emphasizes setting a clear strategy, improving efficiency and compliance, and maintaining a healthy, data‑driven operating model across disputes and fraud prevention activities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of direct experience in disputes, fraud risk prevention and detection within FinTech/tech industry.
• 5+ years of experience in fraud management or related people management roles, including leading managers or senior ICs.
• Proven ability to set strategy and deliver large-scale operational change with measurable impact on efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
• Strong strategic planning, risk management, and prioritization skills, balancing short-term delivery and long-term capability building.
• Exceptional executive communication and influence skills, aligning diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with AI project-driven initiatives (e.g., AI-enabled tools, agent assist, automation).
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement practices, and data-driven methodologies to drive scalable efficiency.
• Working knowledge of scripting & querying languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.

• Define and champion an operational strategy and roadmap to improve function, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
