Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first fintech company reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly. As a Fraud Operations Manager, you will lead multiple fraud operations teams and drive scalable efficiency while fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture.

You will develop talent, set operational strategy, manage cross-functional alignment, and own performance metrics to improve productivity and accuracy across disputes, fraud risk prevention, and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of disputes, fraud risk prevention and detection in FinTech/tech industries.
• 5+ years in fraud management or related people management roles.
• Proven track record setting strategy and delivering large-scale operational changes with measurable impact.
• Strong strategic planning, risk management and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional executive communication and influence with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience leading teams through major change and ambiguity.
• Experience with AI-driven initiatives to improve efficiency or knowledge management.
• Working knowledge of Python/SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a group of people leaders and ICs across multiple teams with ongoing feedback and career development.
• Define and champion an operational strategy to improve efficiency, quality and compliance.
• Ensure accountability for service levels and productivity with data-driven burn down plans.
• Translate business goals into team objectives and align cross-functional partners for incident resolution and risk events.
