Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Fraud Operations Manager to oversee multiple fraud-focused teams and drive a scalable, high-performance culture. You will lead people leaders and ICs, define strategy, and push for operational excellence across disputes, risk, and compliance functions.

You will shape the function with data-driven approaches, partner with recruiting, and ensure service levels and productivity meet business goals while maintaining a strong culture of belonging and inclusion.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of disputes, fraud risk experience in FinTech/tech
• 5+ years in fraud management or people management roles
• Track record in setting strategy and large-scale operational change
• Strong strategic planning and risk management skills
• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder influence
• Experience leading teams through major change, comfortable with ambiguity
• Experience with AI initiatives to improve efficiency or knowledge management
• Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement practices
• Familiarity with scripting or querying languages (Python, SQL) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a group of people leaders and ICs across multiple teams
• Drive performance using metrics like productivity, quality, and customer outcomes
• Foster a high-performing, engaged team culture in a fast-paced environment
• Partner with recruiting to hire, onboard, and retain top talent
• Define and champion an operational strategy and roadmap for improved efficiency
• Identify and implement changes that simplify workflows and improve compliance
• Ensure accountability for service levels and queue health with data-driven plans
• Translate business goals into team objectives with clear communication
• Escalate and resolve complex merchant, user, or internal issues
• Research and resolve risk events from process breakdowns
