Choice Hotels International is seeking an Area Director, Franchise Performance for Core Brands in the United States. The role focuses on driving commercial performance across midscale and upper midscale franchised hotels, acting as a trusted advisor to owners, operators, and management companies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive hotel industry experience with commercial strategy and performance responsibility.
• 10+ years of hotel leadership experience, preferably with franchise performance or multi-unit responsibility.
• Proven success in improving hotel commercial performance and owner profitability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic commercial advisor to hotel owners and operators using data to identify revenue opportunities.
• Conduct property visits and business reviews connecting revenue strategy with operations and marketing.
• Influence adoption of commercial priorities through clear accountability and performance goals.
• Evaluate market demand, pricing strategy, distribution, and sales performance to prioritize high-value opportunities.
• Develop action-oriented recommendations to improve revenue, profitability, and owner value.
