Job summary

Choice Hotels International is seeking an Area Director, Upscale Franchise Performance to drive financial, commercial, operational, and guest-experience performance across upscale, select-service, and full-service hotels.

This individual contributor role reports to the Senior Regional Director and advises franchise owners, property leaders, and above-property teams to translate corporate strategies into property-level actions that boost revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in hospitality operations, franchise performance, or related fields.
• Experience advising hotel owners, operators, and senior property leaders on financial and operational performance.
• Experience evaluating hotel P&Ls and translating data into actionable performance strategies.
• Upscale, select-service, and/or full-service hotel operations experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence initiatives across a matrixed environment without direct reporting authority.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic advisor translating corporate strategies into property-level objectives.
• Develop and influence execution of revenue, sales, and marketing strategies to improve hotel performance.
• Analyze market trends, demand, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
• Align operational, financial, and commercial priorities to strengthen RevPAR, ADR, and market share.
• Coach and provide knowledge sharing across a network of franchisees and hotel leaders.
