Job summary

Choice Hotels International is seeking an Area Director, Franchise Performance, Core Brands to drive commercial performance for a portfolio of midscale and upper midscale franchised hotels. The role partners with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, and Operations to deliver growth and profitability.

Reside in Louisiana is required for consideration; relocation is not offered. This position involves extensive travel to support portfolio performance and franchise growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in hotel industry with commercial strategy or revenue performance responsibilities.
• 10+ years in hotel leadership, preferably including franchise performance or multi-property responsibility.
• Proven ability to influence decisions using analytics and strategy.
• Experience in a matrixed organization and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic commercial advisor to hotel owners and operators using portfolio, market data to identify revenue opportunities.
• Conduct property visits, performance reviews, and business consultations linking revenue strategy with operations.
• Influence adoption of commercial priorities with clear goals and accountability.
• Evaluate market demand, pricing, distribution, and channel performance to prioritize opportunities.
• Develop action-oriented recommendations to improve revenue, market share, and owner value.
• Lead relationships with owners, management companies, and property leadership teams.
