Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Framer/Store Associate in Fairfield, CA to lead a team of framers, drive custom framing sales, and coach staff to deliver exceptional customer service. You will manage daily operations, inventory, and safety programs while supporting omni‑channel initiatives.

You will contribute to staff development, participate in interviews and onboarding, and maintain a positive, values‑driven store environment. Nights, weekends, and early hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Type of experience: Basic computer skills.
• Preferred Type Of Experience: Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
• Retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the framing team to build customer relationships and provide framing solutions.
• Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating framing solutions for their art.
• Plan workload with the Store Manager to deliver high‑quality framing solutions on time.
• Manage inventory, shrink and safety programs; serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Support interviewing, onboarding, training, and performance management of team members.
• Participate in Omni channel processes and assist customers across channels.
