Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. Cedar Knolls store is seeking a Store Lead to coach a team of framers, drive custom framing sales and deliver exceptional customer service. You will plan workload with the Store Manager and ensure on‑time delivery of framing solutions while adhering to SOPs and company programs.

You will oversee inventory, safety, and performance management activities, participate in onboarding and coaching, and collaborate with MODs to meet store goals in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Previous custom framing experience preferred
• Retail management experience preferred
• Experience leading a sales team preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of framers focused on building customer relationships and creating framing solutions
• Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions
• Assist Store Manager in operating SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance and store standards
• Plan workload and schedule to deliver high‑quality framing projects on time
• Manage inventory, shrink and safety programs, and participate in Talent Development activities
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and support interviewing, onboarding and coaching
• Support omni‑channel processes and customer service across channels
• Acknowledge customers, locate products and provide solutions
