Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a proactive leader to assist the Store Manager in running a busy craft and custom framing department. You will mentor the framing team, ensure SOP compliance, and deliver high‑quality framing solutions to customers on time.

You will manage inventory and safety programs, schedule workloads, and act as Manager on Duty. The role requires basic computer skills and retail leadership experience, with a focus on team development and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum: basic computer skills.
• Preferred: custom framing experience.
• Preferred: retail management experience.
• Preferred: experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in SOP compliance and policy execution.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions and plan workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPI targets and manage framing team KPI.
• Oversee inventory management, shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Interview, onboard, coach and train new team members; support Talent Development.
