Job summary

Osmo is seeking a Compounder for its fragrance sample lab to accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials and essential oils according to formulas and batch sheets. This craft role rewards precision, material knowledge, and sensory judgment beyond simple step execution.

You will verify materials, operate production equipment, and support safety, inventory, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistent quality in a fast-paced environment at Osmo's Newark/Elizabeth area facilities.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on sample lab compounding experience within fragrance or flavor manufacturing.
• Extreme attention to detail and accuracy measuring, weighing, and blending raw materials.
• Able to follow written formulas and instructions precisely.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fragrance Compounding - Accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials and essential oils according to formulas and batch sheets
• Verify Materials & Formulas - Check materials against specifications and batch sheets before use, and flag discrepancies before they become a downstream problem
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance - Operate and clean mixing tanks, scales, pumps, and other production equipment while following SOPs
• Safety & Compliance - Follow all company safety protocols, including hazardous material handling and PPE
• Inventory Management - Assist in monitoring raw material stock levels using Osmo's inventory system, and notify supervisors of shortages
• Collaboration - Work closely with quality control and production teams to ensure consistency and efficiency
