You will work directly with Compliance leadership and engineering teams to translate regulatory workflows into tangible software deliverables. This role emphasizes auditability, human-in-the-loop controls, and measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Experience deploying LLM-based applications with guardrails and human-in-the-loop design.
• Ability to embed with non-technical domain experts and translate workflows into engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and audit-ready data handling.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Compliance leadership to surface high-leverage automation opportunities.
• Prototype using Coinbase's AI platform and define build-vs-buy strategy.
• Own the Compliance automation roadmap with leadership and translate regulatory workflows into engineering specs.
• Ensure automation outputs are auditable with governance and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Drive adoption through internal sessions and feedback loops.
