• 5+ years shipping production systems in complex, stakeholder-heavy environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications with prompts, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Ability to quickly internalize regulatory workflows and translate them into engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, regulatory filing workflows, audit-ready data handling.
• Experience in embedded advisory roles (Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering).

Responsibilities

• Embed with Compliance leadership and frontline teams to surface automation opportunities with high business leverage.
• Prototype quickly on Coinbase's AI platform and recommend net-new builds when needed.
• Own the Compliance automation roadmap in partnership with leadership and translate regulatory workflows into engineering constraints.
• Define build-vs-buy strategy for Compliance tooling and evaluate build, partner, procure options.
• Ensure automated outputs are traceable, reviewable, and defensible to regulators with auditability and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Drive adoption through demos, walkthroughs, and stakeholder feedback loops.
