Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in complex, stakeholder-heavy environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to embed with non-technical domain experts and translate workflows into engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with compliance/regulatory workflows: transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, audit-ready data handling.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration and agent-system handoffs and auditability.
• Experience in a Forward Deployed Engineering or embedded technical advisory role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Compliance leadership and teams to surface high-leverage automation opportunities.
• Prototype quickly using Coinbase's AI platform and assess net-new build needs.
• Own the Compliance automation roadmap with leadership, translating regulatory workflows into engineering requirements.
• Define build-vs-buy strategy for Compliance tooling and evaluate internal vs external options.
• Ensure automated outputs are traceable, auditable, and regulator-ready with proper controls.
• Drive adoption through knowledge-sharing sessions and feedback loops to ensure tools are used.
