Job summary

Coinbase in the United States is seeking an AI-enabled software engineer to advance our Compliance automation platform. You’ll be embedded in Compliance, reporting to leadership in the Office of the CTO, turning complex regulatory workflows into scalable solutions.

You’ll prototype quickly on Coinbase’s AI platform, define the automation roadmap with senior leadership, and ensure auditable, regulator-ready outputs with human‑in‑the‑loop controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in complex environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications and prompt engineering.
• Ability to translate regulatory workflows into engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Compliance leadership to surface high-impact automation opportunities.
• Prototype quickly using Coinbase's AI platform as foundation.
• Own the Compliance automation roadmap with leadership.
• Define build-vs-buy strategy for Compliance tooling.
• Ensure automated outputs are auditable and defensible for regulators.
• Drive adoption through trainings and feedback loops.
