Job summary

The Rockhill Group, Inc. in Newport, RI is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily FS operations, ensure quality service, and manage duties for the assigned area.

The role requires willingness to learn all aspects and strong customer interaction. Responsibilities include overseeing field operations, inspections, and cashier processes, while leading a team, coordinating schedules, and maintaining professional communication with customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of one year of experience in food services or a related field.
• Must have a minimum of one year of experience supervising or leading teams.
• Knowledge of the Tri-Service Standards (Sanitation and Medical standards) is required.
• Must have basic computer knowledge (Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.).
• Must understand oral and written instructions and speak and write English fluently.
• Must rotate workweek hours to ensure observation of all shifts every week.
• Must interact appropriately with customers and team members.
• Must have strong management communication and people skills.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
• Must pass organization/state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily operation of specific contract services are delivered to customers in a timely and quality manner.
• Understand, prepare, and complete daily worksheets.
• Ensure compliance with contract standards.
• Conduct routine inspections.
• Monitor and note progress toward job requirements.
• Perform quality inspections in the TAMS system for assigned areas.
• Represent as point person for customers, visitors, and team members when PM or AP PM is unavailable.
• Be responsible for cashier close-out process.
• Maintain a courteous and professional attitude with all customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
