Job summary

The Rockhill Group in Newport, RI is seeking a Supervisor to oversee Food Service daily operations at a federal installation. You will manage assigned area duties, ensure quality customer service, and learn all job aspects. Position requires background checks, reliable transportation, and ability to work Sundays 5:30 am–9:30 am.

Responsibilities include leading teams, coordinating daily operations, and maintaining compliance with standards. Strong communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in food services or related field.
• Minimum of one year experience supervising or leading teams.
• Knowledge of Tri-Service Sanitation and Medical standards or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Must speak and write English fluently.
• Must rotate workweek hours to cover all shifts.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Eligibility for work on specified contract(s).
• Able to pass background screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily operation of contract services delivered to customers on time and to quality standards.
• Prepare and complete daily worksheets; monitor progress toward job requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with contract standards.
• Represent as point of contact for customers and team when PM/APM unavailable.
• Oversee cashier close-out process and maintain professional customer interactions.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and supervising team members; manage scheduling and timesheets.
