Job summary

Wayfinder Newport, a boutique hotel within Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the service team, uphold high standards, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will oversee daily restaurant operations, support hiring and training, and collaborate with kitchen and management to optimize service. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in Newport, RI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food & beverage or hospitality.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead the service team to maintain high service standards.
• Oversee daily food and beverage operations and ensure seamless service.
• Attend weekly meetings and communicate updates to the team.
• Support cost control for food, beverage, and labor.
• Assist with hiring, training, and development of team members.
• Collaborate with kitchen and management to improve service efficiency.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Provide support across other food and beverage outlets as needed.
