HMSHost in Boston is seeking a Cook to join our food service operations at the airport location. This non-exempt role involves preparing foods according to recipes, weighing, measuring, and assembling meals, and maintaining sanitary, well-organized workspaces.

You will follow safety procedures and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. You should be able to lift and move items over 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and communicate clearly with team members and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, and reach for normal job functions.
• Able to read and comprehend safety instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and product directions for proper food preparation.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
• Prepares appropriate equipment for cooking.
• Operates utensils and equipment for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling and kneading of food products.
• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products.
• Receives and inventories food and beverage product and supplies.
• Cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment.
