Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Cook to prepare cooked foods and operate station functions including Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs. You will communicate ticket times to the manager on duty and servers, and ensure high-quality service to customers and teammates.

This is a non-exempt role reporting to the Store/General Manager depending on local requirements, with opportunities for career growth within HMSHost.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Minimum 1 year of cooking experience in high-volume casual dining.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Bend, twist and stand for long periods.
• Frequent use of sharp knives and hot plates; works in a hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and directions for cooking and serving a variety of items.
• Estimate production needs and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation per HACCP standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients.
• Stock, date, rotate and check product temperatures.
