Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Cook to prepare meals across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs, ensuring timely communication of ticket times to managers and servers. Maintain high-quality service and perform additional duties as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position.

The role requires adherence to recipes, safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and HACCP standards.
• Minimum 1 year of closely related cooking experience; high-volume and casual dining experience preferred.
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving items.
• Estimate food requirements, check production and requisition supplies.
• Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment.
• Follow HACCP standards and food safety practices.
• Operate kitchen equipment and measure, mix, wash, and cut ingredients.
• Stock, date, rotate and temperature-check products.
