Job summary

HMSHost at Norfolk International Airport is seeking a Cook CD – Standard to prepare cooked foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs. You will communicate with managers and servers to ensure timely service and uphold the highest quality for customers.

This non-exempt role requires following recipes, maintaining safety standards, and working in a dynamic airport kitchen with a strong team focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and menus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and product directions for cooking a variety of items.
• Estimate production needs and manage supplies and equipment.
• Maintain clean, sanitized workstations and equipment.
• Comply with HACCP and food safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment and assist with other duties as needed.
