Flour Bakery + Cafe is hiring an Assistant Front-of-House Manager in Boston to lead service excellence, coach staff, and uphold our mission. You will report to the FOH Manager while fostering teamwork, training, and high performance in a fast-paced bakery environment.

You will oversee customer interactions, manage schedules, and coordinate catering orders and delivery. The role emphasizes hospitality, leadership, and ongoing staff development with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• At least one year of supervisory experience in the food service industry.
• Must have early morning, holiday, and weekend availability.
• Ability to delegate and lead by example.
• Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication within a team is essential.
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
• Natural hospitality, eagerness to learn, and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead excellent customer service through coaching and role modeling.
• Maintain a positive team environment by promoting teamwork and respect.
• Provide open communication with management about bakery operations and ideas.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization, assigning roles for upkeep.
• Coach Counter Staff and Shift Leads to build knowledge and skills.
• Help staff learn our bakery and savory menu and retail offerings.
• Oversee catering orders and the delivery system, including follow-up.
• Balance line work with office tasks and payroll preparation.
