Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week assignment in the Float Pool. The role offers Nights and Days shifts with a pay rate of $57.50 per hour, and the assignment duration may be adjusted based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. (Only required for floating into E.R., O.R., PACU, Day Patient.)
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Float RN may be assigned to two or more units and will maintain competency to practice in all units.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology; respond quickly to changes.
