Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week assignment in Joliet, IL. The Float Pool position offers PRN status with nights and days shifts available.

The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, float across multiple units as needed, and guide patient/family teaching while maintaining professional standards and confidentiality. Expect eligibility for BLS/ACLS/PALS, with additional certifications as required.

Competenze

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current. (Only for floating into ER, OR, PACU, Day Patient)
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women?s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Float RN may be assigned to two or more units and maintain competency in all units.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient?s condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
