Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Internal Registry RN for a 12-week assignment in Joliet with potential continued staffing based on needs.

The Float Pool RN delivers safe patient care across units using the nursing process, communicates with physicians, and guides care teams while maintaining privacy and professional standards. Nights and days options, compensation $57.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current (Only required for floating into E.R., O.R., PACU, Day Patient).
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Float RN can be assigned to two or more units based on need.
• Direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physician and document outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
