Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking an Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week PRN assignment. The Float Pool unit supports nights and days, with compensation of $57.50 per hour.

You will provide direct patient care, perform the nursing process, float to multiple units as needed, and maintain competency across units. Required licenses/certifications include RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. (Only required for floating into E.R., O.R., PACU, Day Patient.)
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Float RN can be assigned to two or more units based on need and maintain competency to practice in all units.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
• Directly responsible and accountable for care given to assigned patients on an assigned unit.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition including diagnostic results and symptomatology.
