Job summary

One Medical in New York, NY is seeking a Float Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant to provide venipuncture and clinical support across multiple offices. You’ll ensure a superior patient experience, manage front-d desk duties, and assist with administrative tasks for the medical team.

The role blends patient care with administrative responsibilities, requiring strong communication, empathy, and teamwork. The position is based in the NoMad office with coverage across Downtown and Brooklyn

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relevant Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist experience outside of training/externship.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in computer technology and using multiple software systems simultaneously.
• Experience working on collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to display confidence and deliver patient-centered care during collection.
• Proven ability to adapt to change and take initiative in new situations.

Responsibilities

• Use CI CARE framework to ensure a fluid, positive in‑office experience from patient intake to follow-up scheduling.
• Provide venipuncture services across patient ages as required by the office location.
• Support extended scope duties (non-blood collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals).
• Maintain specimen labeling, handling, processing, inventory, and sterilization standards.
• Assist with lab-related and clerical tasks for providers and virtual medical team.
• Handle front desk duties including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and paperwork.
• Participate in team huddles, problem solving, and provider support.
• Perform opening/closing duties and maintain office look and feel.
