Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to float among our Manhattan Health Centers. The role involves front and back office duties, patient interviews, vital signs, specimen collection, and basic diagnostics. Strong phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Requires national Medical Assistant certification or approved program, and current BLS certification. Eligible for a 401(k) with company match, wellness program, EAP, and access to virtual care.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from Premise Health approved organization or Certificate/Diploma with externship completed
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS (AHA/ARC) required
• Experience with front/back office tasks is a plus

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height)
• Maintain patient records for accuracy and privacy
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments
• Administer medications and perform basic lab tests (EKGs, etc.)
• Assist front desk, schedule appointments, follow up on calls, order supplies
• Perform additional duties as assigned
