Job summary

One Medical is seeking a Float Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant to provide venipuncture and clinical support across multiple NYC offices. You will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional care and coordinating front desk and lab tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience.

You will handle specimen collection, patient communication, scheduling, and clerical duties, while upholding One Medical's standards of empathy, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously
• Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
• A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-focused care
• A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide venipuncture services and front desk support across multiple offices
• Manage patient intake, scheduling, follow-up appointments and insurance/billing inquiries
• Assist with extended scope duties (EKGs/ECGs, vitals, non-blood specimen collection)
• Maintain accurate specimen labeling, handling, and processing; uphold infection control
• Answer patient messages and support providers with clerical tasks
• Perform opening/closing duties and ensure lobby spaces reflect the brand look and feel
