Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician to maintain and repair diesel fleet equipment including tractors, trailers, and lift gates. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in our fleet software, while mentoring peers. The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience and Carrier certifications.

The position is onsite with a Sunday-Thursday 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM schedule, starting pay at $36/hour plus benefits from day one.

Qualifications

3 years hands-on Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration experience with TK/Carrier certifications.
Willing to travel for trainings provided by US Foods.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for reefer repairs.
Independent problem solving and PM program experience.
Own personal hand tools; basic math and reading skills.
Read/understand technical service manuals; high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
Perform preventive maintenance within DOT standards.
Receive road calls and coordinate with third-party vendors and partners.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment per safety rules and gov't guidelines.
Document repairs and parts used in fleet maintenance software tablet.
Backup to other maintenance staff and mentor peers.
Willing to take on added responsibilities and certifications.
