Job summary

US Foods is seeking a skilled Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician to keep our fleet safe and reliable. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel equipment including tractors, trailers, bobtails, and lift gates, while following DOT standards and documenting all work using our fleet software.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of hands-on experience, TK/Carrier refrigeration certs, and are willing to travel for training with US Foods. Strong safety mindset and mentoring capabilities are a plus.

Qualifications

Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors and plan actions with business partners.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
Document repairs and parts used in fleet maintenance software on a tablet.
Mentor other maintenance shop personnel and be prepared for increased responsibilities.
