Job summary
US Foods is seeking a skilled Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel fleet equipment at a US Foods maintenance facility. You will troubleshoot tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, and related systems while documenting work in the fleet software.
Requires 3 years of hands-on experience, TK/Carrier Refrigeration certifications, and willingness to travel for training.
Qualifications
- 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
- TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
- Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
- Prior experience in administering appropriate PM program.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
- Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
- Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors and plan actions with partners.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety regs.
- Document repairs and parts used in fleet software.
- Mentor other maintenance staff and potentially assume more responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
