Job summary

NFI Industries in New York is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to coordinate the dedicated fleet, maximize driver and equipment utilization, and oversee dispatch operations to meet customer expectations.

The role includes supervising coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers; managing scheduling and payroll data; ensuring safe, efficient operation; and reporting to customers and upper management. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field, or at least 1–5 years of supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with TMW and People Net preferred.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to adhere to OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day supervision to staff including coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Manages driver scheduling process and payroll data.
• Coordinates load completions and data entry into TMW.
• Coordinates with managers on the customer invoicing process and reconciles common carrier invoice and approvals.
• Ensures that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner.
• Coordinates the maintenance of equipment with management and fleet.
• Drafts and submits daily end of shift report.
• Makes recommendations to management on initiatives and programs to improve operations.
