Job summary

NFI seeks a Transportation Supervisor in Merriam, KS to coordinate a dedicated fleet and optimize driver and equipment utilization. You will lead dispatch operations, manage daily tasks, and ensure reporting to customers and leadership aligns with expectations.

The role requires supervisory experience, knowledge of TMW/PeopleNet, and strong communication. You will drive initiatives to improve operations, with a focus on safety and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–5 years of supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with TMW and PeopleNet preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT/FDA regulations and willingness to certify.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff including coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Manage driver scheduling and payroll data.
• Coordinate load completions and data entry into TMW.
• Coordinate invoicing with management and reconcile carrier invoices.
• Ensure equipment is utilized efficiently.
• Draft and submit daily end-of-shift reports.
• Coach and develop personnel; implement training programs.
• Maintain HR policies and conduct performance reviews.
