Job summary

NFI is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Illinois to coordinate the dedicated fleet, optimize driver and equipment utilization, and oversee dispatch operations and reporting to customers and management.

You will supervise coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers; manage driver schedules and payroll; coordinate loads in TMW; and ensure OSHA/DOT compliance while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field, or 1–5 years supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with TMW and PeopleNet preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations knowledge and willingness to certification as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day supervision to staff including coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Manages driver scheduling process and payroll data.
• Coordinates load completions and data entry into TMW.
• Coordinates with managers on customer invoicing and reconciles invoices.
• Ensures equipment is utilized efficiently and coordinates maintenance with management.
• Drafts and submits daily end-of-shift reports.
• Provides coaching and feedback to enhance staff performance.
