Job summary

Hogan Transportation seeks a Fleet Manager to provide operational leadership to drivers assigned to a customer account. You will act as a liaison, ensuring high quality service, safe and timely deliveries, and respond to changing conditions with contingency planning.

Responsibilities include coaching drivers, coordinating schedules, monitoring performance, training staff on Hogan policies and safety, and ensuring profitability while meeting client expectations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in transportation/trucking.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages drivers’ activities to meet client expectations.
• Addresses driver performance issues through coaching and discipline.
• Interviews prospective drivers and makes hiring recommendations.
• Conducts 30- and 60-day performance reviews.
• Coaches and trains drivers on customer service, safety, and Hogan policies.
• Coordinates services and schedules to maximize profits.
• Schedules and directs drivers per client requests.
• Monitors driver performance and daily activities.
• Prepares daily run schedules and ensures on-time deliveries.
• Advises drivers of traffic hazards and develops contingency plans.
• Manages fleet for hours of service, home time, and cost control.
• Ensures safe working environment and compliance with laws.
• Ensures drivers are trained and aligned with expectations.
• Daily payroll accuracy for drivers.
• Other duties as assigned.
