Job summary

Hogan Transportation is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead and support drivers assigned to a customer account, acting as a liaison to ensure high-quality service and on-time deliveries. You will diagnose issues, coach drivers, and coordinate schedules to maximize profits while maintaining safety and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in the transportation/trucking industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manages drivers' activities to meet client expectations and Hogan policies.
• Addresses driver performance issues through coaching and discipline.
• Interviews prospective drivers and makes hiring recommendations.
• Conducts 30- and 60-day performance reviews.
• Coaches and trains drivers on customer satisfaction, safety, and policies.
• Coordinates services to customers, including schedules, to maximize profits.
• Schedules and directs drivers to locations per customer needs.
• Monitors driver performance and activities.
• Prepares and monitors daily work and run schedules.
• Informs drivers of traffic issues and creates contingency plans to meet client needs.
• Manages fleet and drivers for on-time pickups/deliveries, hours of service, and cost control.
• Ensures safe working environment and compliance with safety laws.
• Ensures drivers are trained and understand expectations.
• Performs daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.
• Interacts with drivers daily to answer questions and ensure safe deliveries.
• Works to reduce turnover and promote workforce longevity.
• Ensures payroll accuracy and timeliness.
• Other duties as assigned.
