Job summary

Hogan Transportation is seeking a Fleet Manager in Missouri to lead drivers and coordinate customer accounts, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries and high-quality service. You will coach drivers, handle performance reviews, plan schedules, and work with leadership to optimize routes and profitability.

The role requires 2–5 years in transportation/trucking, strong knowledge of safety regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in transportation/trucking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manages drivers’ activities to meet client expectations and Hogan policies.
• Identifies and addresses driver performance issues through coaching and discipline as appropriate.
• Interviews prospective drivers and makes recommendations on hiring decisions.
• Conducts 30- and 60-day driver performance reviews.
• Coaches, trains, and reinforces drivers on customer satisfaction, safety, and Hogan policies.
• Coordinates services for customers including schedules to maximize profits.
• Schedules and directs drivers to locations according to customer requests or needs.
• Monitors drivers’ performance and daily activities.
• Prepares and monitors daily work and run schedules.
• Advises drivers of traffic problems and creates contingency plans for on-time deliveries.
• Manages assigned fleet of tractors and drivers for on-time performance and cost control.
• Ensures a safe working environment and compliance with safety laws and requirements.
• Ensures drivers are trained and understand customer expectations, policies, and practices.
• Performs daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.
• Interacts with drivers daily to answer questions and ensure load delivery safety.
• Works with drivers to reduce turnover and promote longevity of workforce.
• Ensures driver payroll is accurate and submitted timely.
• Other duties as assigned.
