Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts and other equipment. You will diagnose problems, work with teammates, document all work, and conduct safety inspections to ensure reliable fleet operation.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to lift and handle parts, and compliance with regulations. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, with ASE certifications and a CDL being valued assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year experience in vehicle maintenance or related certificate program.
• ASE certifications and CDL preferred.
• Must have tools to perform tasks and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts and equipment.
• Use diagnostics to identify issues and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with technicians for maintenance and repairs.
• Document work accurately in reports and systems.
• Conduct safety inspections and assist with paint/body work as needed.
• Follow laws, regulations and company policies; perform other duties as required.
