Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician in Florida to maintain and repair tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and documentation for safe operation.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ASSE certifications and CDL preferred, and own tools. The job offers a starting rate of $30.70 per hour with potential premium pay and tuition/tool reimbursements. Overtime/shift differential may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year vehicle maintenance experience or relevant certification.
• ASE certifications (Medium/Heavy Truck) and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must have necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and testing tools.
• Basic computer skills and maintenance software.
• Ability to lift up to 110 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with technicians on maintenance and repairs.
• Document maintenance work in writing and electronically.
• Perform safety inspections and document results.
• Paint and body work on vehicles as required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
