Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to provide timely repair and preventive maintenance for tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, documentation, and safe operation in a fast-paced setting. Starting pay is $30.70 per hour with additional bonuses: $5.50/hr extra for ASE Master Certification, $1,000 annual tool reimbursement, shift differential, and tuition reimbursement for diesel certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED), preferred.
• 1 year experience maintaining vehicles or near completion of a vehicle maintenance certificate or Apprentice Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Knowledge of testing equipment, gauges and vehicle troubleshooting.
• Basic computer skills including maintenance programs and diagnostic systems.
• Knowledge of gas and diesel engines.
• Able to lift components weighing ~110 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with technicians in performing maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures proper documentation of maintenance and completes reports.
• Performs safety inspections and documents the work.
• Performs paint and body work on vehicles as required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
