Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role requires basic diagnostics, documentation, and teamwork to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Starting pay is $30.70 per hour with eligible benefits such as tool reimbursement, tuition support, and shift differentials. ASE Master certificates and a CDL are highly valued, with options for career growth in a large logistics network.

Qualifications

• One year experience in vehicle maintenance or within sixty days of obtaining an ASE certificate.
• Possess (or be within sixty days of obtaining) ASE Master Certificate and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on work assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance performed, completes reports in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and documents the work.
