Job summary

FedEx Freight is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires diagnostics, proper documentation, and adherence to safety rules. ASE certifications and Class A CDL are preferred; candidate must bring necessary tools and be able to lift heavy components.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED), preferred.
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or near completion of a maintenance certificate.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Knowledge of testing equipment, gauges and diagnostic systems.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes necessary adjustments.
• Works with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance in writing and electronically.
• Conducts safety inspections and may perform paint/body work as required.
