Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel tractor fleet, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and accurate documentation, with opportunities for advanced ASE certifications and tuition support.

Starting pay is $30.70 per hour, with possible shift differential and annual tool reimbursement. Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED and relevant vehicle maintenance experience or completion of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and CDL-A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes necessary adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures proper documentation of maintenance, writes and records reports.
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and documents the work.
• Paint and body work on vehicles when required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
