Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic / Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and forklifts. This role offers a competitive starting pay rate of $30.70 per hour, with additional pay for A.S.E. Master Certification.

The ideal candidate will have a strong heavy equipment background and be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs. Various benefits, including tool reimbursement and tuition assistance, are also offered.

Qualifications

• Must have one year experience in vehicle maintenance or a related certification.
• Knowledge of gas and diesel engines is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles with manual and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on the fleet.
• Document all maintenance performed accurately.
• Conduct safety inspections of all equipment.
