Job summary

The American Red Cross in Portland, ME is seeking a General Maintenance and Fleet Tech to support maintenance of facilities and a 17-vehicle fleet across three sites.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least 3 years of related experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work, plus a valid driver's license and on-call duties. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered and on-call pay can reach $8,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience includes painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on facilities, machinery and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to prevent breakdowns.
• Use hand and power tools to diagnose and repair issues.
• Provide support and leadership to volunteers.
